Sika® Raingard is a flexible, liquid applied, single component, ultra violet rays and weather resistant, acrylic waterproofing membrane for all types of exposed roof slabs(new and old),terraces(sloped and flat),etc.

USES

Sika Raingard can be used for:

• Exposed roof waterproofing
• Impervious coating on roofs (flat and sloped) and concrete structures
• On non-trafficked areas
• Excellent adhesion to concrete, brickwork, corrugated asbestos, and asbestos cement sheet.

METHOD OF APPLICATION

Substrate preparation

The cementitious substrate should be sound and of sufficient strength (min. 25 N/mm²). Minimum pull-off strength 1.5 N/mm², it should be free from grease, oil and contamination.

Priming:

Prime the prepared substrate with Sika® Raingard Primer by brush or roller.

Application:

Sika® Raingard is supplied in a single component pack and is in ready to use form. Stir thoroughly before application. Within 45 minutes of priming apply 1st coat of Sika® Raingard by brush or roller. Apply the 2nd and 3rd coat of Sika® Raingard following the same above procedure at suitable time interval of 24 hours between the two coats.

Consumption / Dosage

Sika® Raingard Primer : 0.200 kg/m2 per coat depending on the substrate. Sika® Raingard: 0.5 kg /m2 per coat (2-3 coats recommended)
Total thickness – 1.2 mm approx. with Sika® Fab1 and 1mm without Sika® Fab1.
