Phosphorus is the second important major element required for healthy growth plants and economical yield. Di-Ammonium Phosphate (DAP), which contains 18% nitrogen and 46% Phosphorus, is the most widely used source of Phosphorus for plants. DAP help seed germination, strengthens roots of plants and improves flowering and grain formation. DAP initially was imported in Pakistan by the FID (fertilizer import department) until 1994.
